Gig Notes: Wildcat Lounge, Santa Barbara 4/26/04

Set: The Lightning Rod - Mercy Rule - Sweet Oblivion - Sean Goes To Africa - Let Go - Keep Moving - Famous Last Words - Wayfaring Stranger

So there were several highlights of this one. Bryn debuted a solo version of "Lightning Rod" to start things off, and then the band came in with "Mercy Rule", and we went into the deep water music from there. Instead of Square One (who never showed) we shared the bill with Neverdown who went on after our slightly truncated set. Aside from a lurching version of "Let Go" things went pretty well, including the debut of another song, "Famous Last Words". We have lots of people to thank for the flood of documentation this show saw, so here goes: Thanks to Chris, Cindy, and Brian for filming, to Marika for taking some fantastic photos, Luke and Brian from the Sound Room for the recording, lighting and sound, and Wildcat manager Bob for coming in to have a look as well. Special super big thanks to our crowd of peeps who came out to see us on a Monday night. There's a CD or DVD in all this footage somewhere.

In other news, we will be going on a tour of Take Root Recording in San Francisco in a few weeks, with the idea of maybe hashing together a full pro-recorded album. More as it develops...

2nd Wildcat Lounge Gig April 26

We will play at the Wildcat Lounge on Monday, April 26. The music begins with Square One at about 10pm and then we'll go on about a half hour after that. As always I'll be recording the show and it will be filmed as well. If you know me you'll think, "Hmmm, live CD? Live DVD?" and you'd be right.
